Trevor Zegras Buries OT Winner on Coast-to-Coast Rush · Mar. 29, 2026
With 1:33 left in overtime, Zegras picked up the puck and skated the length of the ice down the right wing before rifling a wrister through the five-hole of Casey DeSmith for the 2–1 winner — his fourth career overtime goal, first as a Flyer, and 23rd of the season tying his career high. The goal was especially dramatic given Zegras had nearly cost the Flyers the game minutes earlier, taking a tripping penalty against a Dallas power play ranked second in the NHL. Philadelphia improved to 8–1–1 in its last 10 games, moving within two points of a wild-card spot.
